Love and Compassion
love is the greatest and most import emotion and aspect in life. love can heal all things and bring piece to a troubled world. Love is the greatest and most important spirituality there is. Compassion is a virtue —one in which the emotional capacities of empathy and sympathy are regarded as a part of love itself, and a cornerstone of greater social interconnectedness and humanism —foundational to the highest principles in philosophy, society, and personhood.
Italian Renaissance, liberal humanism
Humanism is a belief in the Human race and the responsibility and power we all have. It is a stance that we must all use reason and intellect to evaluate every aspect of our being and our environment. When we apply this to religion, there tends to be little left that we need to rely on and so Humanism is frequently believed to be anti-religious. In fact, the first humanists were the philosophers and intellectuals of the Renaissance who were also devout Christians. Renaissance, a period of great cultural change and achievement in Europe that spanned the period from the end of the 13th century to about 1600, marking the transition between Medieval and Early Modern Europe.
